GRID Mindful Monday: Healing Begins When Consumption Becomes Intentional @ Any Age

Did you know that every bite transmits a signal to brain and body. On a Mindful Monday, Coach Adasa provides a mental shift on how food is viewed; not just to satisfy our hunger but as information that influences your energy, mood, immune system, and long-term health. Small, intentional choices made consistently can create a pain free and Holistic Living.

This Week's Mindful Focus

This week, view food more than just fuel for the soul, but as medicine. Food can be consumed to heal, reverse, and provide sustenance for our daily activities. Today, GRID considers Mindful Food choices that can assist in our Holistic health and provided some recommendations:

🥗 Read Food Labels
Become an informed consumer. Look beyond marketing claims and examine the ingredient list. Choose foods with recognizable, minimally processed ingredients and be mindful of added sugars, sodium, preservatives, and artificial additives.

🥬 Include Fermented Foods
Fermented foods such as sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, plain yogurt with live cultures, and naturally fermented vegetables can help support a healthy gut microbiome. A healthier gut is associated with improved digestion, immune function, and overall well-being.

🌾 Choose Whole Foods Over Ultra-Processed Foods
Whenever possible, fill your plate with foods that are closest to their natural state: vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, seeds, whole grains, and quality protein sources. Reducing ultra-processed foods may support better metabolic health and sustained energy.

🧠 Remember: Food Is Information
Every meal communicates with your body. The foods you choose influence inflammation, hormone balance, blood sugar regulation, and cellular function. Choose foods that nourish rather than simply satisfy.

Spiritual Food

Ecclesiastes 9:7 “Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.”

While food and discipline are separate topics, both themes can be framed as acts of obedience and trust in YAH. Food is about gratitude and stewardship, while discipline is about growth and alignment with YAH’s will. Together, they reflect the Bible’s holistic view of life: nourishing the body and shaping the soul.

Mindful Monday Reflection

Ask yourself before your next meal:
"Will this food move me closer to the health I desire?"

Small intentional choices today become healthier habits tomorrow.
