Toxic Free Tuesday: Creating a Healthier Internal Environment
Our modern lifestyle exposes us to highly processed foods, environmental pollutants, chronic stress, and frequent antibiotic use. These factors may influence the balance of microorganisms living in our digestive tract. Supporting gut health involves many practices, including:
- eating fiber-rich foods
- consuming fermented foods when appropriate
- staying hydrated
- getting adequate sleep
- reducing unnecessary ultra-processed foods
Some people also choose to work with qualified healthcare professionals regarding digestive concerns or suspected parasitic infections. It is important not to assume parasites are the cause of symptoms without proper medical evaluation. It is important to underscore that while fermented foods may help introduce beneficial microbes into the diet, depending on the food and preparation method, they are not a treatment for parasites or medical conditions.
