Artificial intelligence has rapidly become part of our everyday lives. It recommends what we watch, influences what we buy, answers our questions, and increasingly shapes how we think. While AI offers remarkable opportunities, it also presents new challenges. Information can be generated faster than it can be verified, opinions can be mistaken for facts, and digital content can subtly influence our beliefs and behaviors.
In Part 1, we explored what AI Psychosis is and why excessive dependence on AI-generated information can distort reality. In Part 2, we examined who may be most vulnerable and the psychological factors that increase susceptibility. Today of a Toxic Free Tuesday, Coach Adasa offers part 3 rendering practical strategies for protecting one of your greatest assets; your mind.
At GRID Holistic Living, we believe that holistic wellness includes not only physical health, but also mental, emotional, spiritual, and digital well-being. Developing healthy technology habits is becoming as essential as eating nutritious foods and exercising regularly. To circumcise your heart and protect your mind, do the following:
1. Consume wisdom
The reality is, prudence and wisdom building are key to navigating today's turbulence and era of misinformation or alternate facts. To know and understand prudence and wisdom requires a fundamental source. Today, as a man or woman of faith, or maybe you are not, I still challenge you to read the one book that is yet to be proven wrong, that is the bible. While many attempt to disprove its authenticity, research including artifacts etc prove otherwise. If your foundation is solid, you are able to navigate more effectively.
2. Verify Before You Amplify
We live in a culture where information spreads within seconds, often before anyone has confirmed whether it is accurate. Before sharing information, ask yourself:
GRID Tip: Pause before posting. A few extra minutes spent verifying information can prevent the spread of misinformation.
3. Strengthen Human Connection
Artificial intelligence can simulate conversation, but it cannot replace authentic human relationships or emulate empathy. Research consistently illustrates that strong social connections contribute to better emotional resilience, reduced stress, improved cognitive health, and lower rates of depression and anxiety. Where should your investment lie?
GRID Tip: recommends 1st know thyself, then build authentic relationships and networks. This does not depend on size, but on quality and like-mindedness.
4. Schedule Technology-Free Time
Many people begin and end their day looking at a screen. Can we say burnout. Over time, constant notifications, scrolling, and digital stimulation may contribute to mental fatigue, reduced attention span, and emotional exhaustion. In part 2 we provided reasarch indicating the brain was never designed to process continuous streams of information twenty-four hours a day.
GRID Tip: Create intentional periods of time-out, away from anything digital. Whether its a stroll, doing another task that is not connected with technology, calling a friend, sitting outside, exercising etc.
5. Develop Discernment
Perhaps the most valuable skill in the AI era is discernment. Artificial intelligence can generate information rapidly, but wisdom still requires thoughtful evaluation. This takes us back to #1. Discernment cultivates critical thinking, humility, and lifelong learning.
At GRID Holistic Living, we believe wellness extends far beyond nutrition and physical fitness. True health also includes:
Artificial intelligence should remain a tool that serves humanity; not a substitute for prudence, wisdom, critical thinking, discernment or meaningful relationships. As AI continues to evolve, our greatest competitive advantage will not be faster computers or smarter algorithms. It will be emotionally healthy, spiritually grounded, critically thinking people who use technology wisely while remaining fully human.
This week, commit to one intentional digital wellness habit:
Technology is not the enemy. Dependence without discernment is. Remember: small habits practiced consistently create lasting transformation.
Proverbs 4:23 (KJV): "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."

Editorial Note: "AI psychosis" is not currently recognized as a formal psychiatric diagnosis in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5-TR). In this series, the term is used descriptively to discuss situations in which excessive reliance on AI-generated content, misinformation, social isolation, or pre-existing vulnerabilities may contribute to confusion, distorted beliefs, or unhealthy technology use. Individuals experiencing significant changes in thinking, perception, or mental health should seek evaluation from a qualified healthcare professional.
